Plus Size Swimsuits - Trendy, Fashionable, and Full of Style!

Most women don't like to wear swimsuits unless they possess what is known as "the perfect body", whatever that is. Unfortunately, 99.9% of women aren't incredibly toned or model-skinny, but we still want to enjoy our time at the beach or by the pool side. Plus size swimsuit designers have done a great job with offering plenty of wearable, fashionable options for every size and shape.

Plus size bathing suits come in a lot of the same varieties that traditionally-sized swimsuits come in, though perhaps with a little bit more coverage and support. You don't usually find plus size bikinis, but granted, super-skinny teenagers and athletically fit individuals would likely feel more comfortable in a bikini. However, that certainly doesn't mean that women with a little extra padding don't deserve to feel sexy and confident in swimwear!

Finding something that flatters your natural body curves and size is important, especially with plus size swim wear. A top with a deep V neckline can offer that subtle hit of being "hot" and fashionable while not revealing everything. Usually, plus size tops have empire waists and are longer to give a more flowing feeling instead of hugging the body tightly. Halter tops, as well as thicker straps or scooped-neck tops, are very flattering and will give all of the support one needs to be confident and comfortable in their swimsuit.

As far as swim wear bottoms go, plus size swimsuits usually come in traditional briefs, straight and full skirts, and shorts. Skirts are often very flattering but may not appeal to a large part of the swimming audience. Briefs go amazingly well with a stylish, fun-colored V-neck halter top. Sometimes, the swimsuit tops are more like a sun dress, in which case it won't really matter exactly what type of bottom one has because no one will ever see it.

The truth of the matter is, most of us will never have that perfect body. But, that doesn't mean we can't be confident, comfortable, and cool (literally!) in a swimsuit. Whether a customer is a size eight or a size twenty, they'll usually have some sort of body image issues and concerns about their figures. Especially when it comes to swimsuit shopping, we women need to be brave and encouraging ourselves that we ARE beautiful, we ARE hot! Then, buy that swimsuit you love, and wear it with pride. There's no one who can wear that plus size swimsuit quite like you!
